Bitcoin Association (for BSV) is non-profit, Switzerland-based global industry organization that underpins the Bitcoin SV blockchain, one of the major competing Bitcoin chains and the one that follows the original Bitcoin design. The association provides the Bitcoin SV Node software and other infrastructure tools for the network.

The Bitcoin Association issued a statement too July 8, 2021 Notifying its members and the public of an attack on the Bitcoin SV network and warning that a malicious actor recently carried out block reorganization attacks on the Bitcoin SV (BSV) network that are apparently deliberate acts of masking the illegal double issuance of coins. A thorough investigation is ongoing and the Bitcoin Association is committed to taking all legal action (including reporting to appropriate law enforcement agencies) necessary to stop such activity.
TAAL supports the Bitcoin Association and the BSV ecosystem in a zero tolerance policy against illegal activities in the Bitcoin SV network and efforts to suppress malicious and illegal activities of third parties and hold them accountable. As the responsible BSV network participant, TAAL will continue to work with the association and other industry participants, including by contributing resources to maintain a healthy, stable and secure ecosystem for application development and corporate adoption.
