Hundreds of different cryptocurrencies have been introduced since Bitcoin was founded in 2009. This has created thousands of companies offering blockchain services.
These companies are constantly looking for tech-savvy employees who can be hired and trained in the blockchain and crypto sector. As the industry consists of new technologies, new jobs are created every day. With each new advancement comes new skills that need to be learned and taught.
Who is hiring?
If you are interested in a cryptocurrency job, here are the types of companies that you should check out:
- Start-ups – This can encompass a wide range of companies, many of which were started by people who are on the cutting edge of technology and are looking to innovate and move forward in the crypto space. Exchange platforms like Binance, Kraken, and Coinbase all emerged from humble beginnings in the last decade. In addition to this exchange, new cryptocurrencies as well as news sites, blogs, wallets and teaching aids will also be created.
- Technology companies – Companies like Apple, Microsoft, and Google have to adjust to blockchain and cryptocurrency to make sure they don’t fall behind. Since the landscape is constantly changing, they have to adapt quickly. To this end, they are hiring blockchain experts such as engineers to future-proof their platforms.
- Governments – This is a sector that is not openly expressing its interest in blockchain, but all governments have to adapt to the technological changes. Because of the cost-cutting potential of blockchain, governments have hired crypto experts to advise them. An example of a government use case is blockchain voting. Some countries are already testing the idea of demonstrating the potential of decentralized technology.
