Many of the complaints about Bitcoin over the years have been overwritten. However, the increasing use of real physical resources – energy and computer chips – by cryptocurrency can no longer be ignored. If Bitcoin is to avoid government crackdown, it will have to move to technologies that don’t require constant massive consumption of resources just to maintain the price of the currency.
